BACKGROUND

The concept and creation of the Global Teacher Foundation was an outgrowth of varied discussion groups that are interested in improving the world through educational programs that could be effectively provided from the varied participant’s individual experiences.  Discussions among the newly developed “Global Teacher Initiative” members identified their skills and experience and how those would be best put to use supporting the Global Teacher Foundation.

Schools with educational backgrounds in multi-racial and multi-ethnic student populations in inner city and rural communities as well as foreign students are part of the Advisory Board of the GTF and are consulted for their experiences in underprivileged and learning challenged students.  Teachers with experience in learning challenged student environments and counselors familiar with learning and environmentally challenged students are an additional complement and consultants to the GTF as members of the Advisory Board of the GTF.

Contributors to the GTF are school administrators with backgrounds in challenged student populations, teacher training, counseling staff and administration of school organizations designed to provide optimum learning situations in challenging environments. Additionally, directors have together more than 60 years experience in planning, business management, and marketing to assure viability and legality of all aspects of the business implementation.
